With or without a website. A fixed-price proposal within two business days.

Cubilani is a brand and web design studio led by Lucas Cubillos Mialani. Its website redesign services cover the strategy, the copy, the design and the build in one project, for consultants and expert-led businesses in Canada and the US. A business without a website gets the same project, built new. Each site is planned so people and AI assistants can tell who the business serves, and it is quoted at one fixed price before any work starts.

Clients who kept working with me after launch

Lucas has been wonderful to work with and has helped bring our brand to life across our websites — from newsletters to courses and landing pages — elevating it to another level.”

Most businesses outgrow their website before they notice

A website redesign is due when the business has changed and the site still describes the one you had: a new service line, a team or a program, and pages that mention none of it.

Clients reach you through a colleague, a search or an AI assistant, and your site is where they decide. When it says less about you than your work does, the call is harder to win.

The usual signs:

A redesign fixes the words and the structure as well as the look, so every key page says plainly who you work with and what you do.

Which kind of website does your business need?

Most businesses need one of four kinds of website, and the right one depends on what you sell and what the site has to do. Many start with one and add the next when it has a reason.

  1. A launch page

One page for one offer, such as a program, an event, a book or an ad campaign:one message and one action, built to match your main site. This is landing page design with the copy included, as part of a website project or as its own small project.

  2. A full website

The home of a business that sells its expertise:home, services, about, work and contact, usually five pages or more, each planned around your clients and ending in one clear next step. It’s what most consultants and expert-led businesses need, and where most redesigns land.

  3. An online store

For businesses that sell products or downloads online:product pages, a cart and secure payments, set up so you can add products and handle orders yourself. A store can be the whole site or one part of it, like the store I built alongside Jon Youshaei’s four sites. This is ecommerce website design, quoted on request.

  4. A custom platform

For businesses that run part of their service online:courses, member areas, client portals or bookings that a standard site can’t handle, like the course platform where Futures First’s young people apply, follow lessons and earn a certificate. Custom web development like this is quoted on request, and it usually comes after the website, once you know what the business needs.

How a website redesign runs, from the first call to launch

A redesign runs in four steps. The build is fast: your reviews set the pace, and your proposal gives the dates.

  1. The 30-minute call.I look at your site the way a new client sees it, on a phone and through an AI assistant; with no site yet, we talk through what your business needs.

  2. The proposal.Within two business days: the scope, one fixed price and the dates.

  3. The plan and the words, then the site.A 15-minute intake, the page map and the copy you review in one pass, then the design and the build, with two revision rounds.

  4. Launch. The redirects in place, a dated launch record and the handover, then the results check 60 to 90 days later.

Three ways to start, each at one fixed price

Every project is quoted for its own scope, and most start in one of three sizes: a launch page, a focused site of up to five pages, or a complete site with the full Search and AI Visibility setup. Stores and custom platforms are quoted on request.

Most businesses need about five pages: home, services, about, work and contact. For small business website design, a focused site is usually enough; with more services or the full search setup, a complete site.

Words and design, made for each other

Lucas Cubillos Mialani, founder of Cubilani, smiling outdoors at night

I’m Lucas Cubillos Mialani, and I write every page of your site myself before I design it and build it. Since 2020 that’s been my work for businesses, and it means the words and the layout are made for each other: the headline fits the space it was written for, and every page ends where the copy says it should. Instead of a website redesign company with an account manager, you deal with me directly.

Eastern hours, adapted to yours. A reply within one business day. You own everything on final payment.

Questions businesses ask before a redesign

What does a website redesign include?

My website redesign services include the plan for every page, the copy, the design, the build, the AI-ready foundation, moving your content with redirects, a handover with your identity block, 30 days of fixes and a results check 60 to 90 days after launch. A complete site adds the full Search and AI Visibility setup. You don’t need to hire anyone else to finish it.

How much does it cost to have a website redesigned?

Every site is planned, written and designed for you, and every redesign is quoted at one fixed price agreed in writing before work starts. The price follows the number of pages, the features and the depth of the search work. Canadian clients pay in CA$ (web design for Canadian businesses), US clients in USD (website design for US businesses).

How long does a website redesign take?

Most redesigns launch three to five weeks after the deposit. Larger sites take longer, and your proposal gives the dates. The intake takes about 15 minutes and you review the copy in one pass, so the pace is set by your reviews rather than a long questionnaire.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Every step is taken to protect them. The pages that bring you visitors are kept or carried over, and every old address that matters redirects to its new page, so search engines see one site improving, not a new site starting over. After launch, Search Console shows how those pages are doing, so anything that slips is fixed early.

Can you build a new website instead of a redesign?

Yes. It’s the same project without an old site to carry over: a plan for every page, the words, the design and the build. Many businesses start with a focused site of up to five pages, or a single launch page, and add pages as they grow. It starts with the same free 30-minute call.

Can you redesign my site without changing my brand?

Yes. If you have a logo, colours and fonts, the design follows them, and nothing about the brand changes without your say. If your brand needs clearer rules first, brand guidelines are a Branding project, quoted on its own or combined with your website as one project.

Do I need a full website or a landing page?

A full website if people need to understand your business, its services and its proof; a launch page if you’re promoting one offer, event or program and your main site already does its job. You don’t need everything at once: the full search setup can come later, and on the free 30-minute call we work out what your business needs now, and what can wait.

Can AI redesign my existing website?

AI tools can produce a new layout quickly, but the layout is the smallest part of a redesign. The work that matters is deciding what each page should say to the clients you want, writing it in your voice, and carrying over the pages and addresses Google already knows. A redesign that only changes the look leaves the words people and AI assistants read unchanged.

My site is on Wix or Squarespace. Can you still redesign it?

Yes. Where your current site lives doesn’t matter: a new site is a new site. It’s built new, starting from your content and what you know about your clients. The site is yours on final payment, with room to grow, and you’re not tied to one platform’s plans or prices.
